As a mother of three, Nena Abdullah found herself asking a simple but powerful question: how do I explain Islam to my children in a way they can truly understand, love, and carry with them as they grow? She wanted more than lessons to memorize. She wanted stories and teachings that would shape their hearts, guide their choices, and give them a strong sense of who they are.

The values of Islam have always been Nena’s moral compass, helping her navigate everyday life as a parent, a believer, and a person. When she could not find children’s books that explained these teachings clearly and gently for young minds, she decided to create them herself, inspired by the very conversations she was having with her own children.

A Child’s Guide to the Fundamentals of Islam is a 10 book series created for children ages 5 to 10. Each book focuses on a core part of Islam, from the Five Pillars with a book dedicated to each one, to learning Arabic basics, discovering the stories of the Prophets, and reading short Qur’anic chapters along with common prayers and phrases.

These books are written with love, simplicity, and intention, the same way a parent would teach their own child. Nena hopes to help families start meaningful conversations, build strong foundations, and grow together in faith, one story at a time.
